Gregory Mathews, Systems Architect and owner of Suncoast MIS

Founder-led. Locally accountable.

Meet Gregory Mathews

Gregory is the Systems Architect and owner behind Suncoast MIS, with 15+ years of practical IT and systems experience. He earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Florida, studying Management Information Systems.

Suncoast MIS was founded in April 2026 to give small legal, medical, real-estate, title, and professional offices direct access to thoughtful architecture—not a rotating ticket queue.

How Service Is Delivered

Accountable service, backed by defined specialists

Clear ownership matters when a firm entrusts someone with its systems, client data, and business continuity.

Company accountability

Suncoast MIS owns the client relationship, architecture standards, documentation, and coordination of each managed environment.

Scoped specialist coverage

Vetted contractors may assist on scoped work when specialist skills or additional capacity are required. Access is role-limited to the assigned work and documented systems.

Partner-delivered security operations

Huntress delivers 24/7 SOC monitoring and managed response for covered security services. Suncoast MIS connects that partner capability to each client’s architecture and response plan.

Built from hands-on work

Systems thinking before product selling

Gregory’s hands-on curiosity began in childhood, before his teens. Around 1994, he built his first PC alongside his cousin, a network engineer, using parts his cousin had given him. That experience sparked a lasting interest in how systems fit together—and how to troubleshoot them when they don’t.

From dial-up connections, bulletin board systems, and early online communities to broadband, cloud services, and AI, he has experienced technology’s evolution firsthand. The tools have changed; his instinct to explore, build, and understand them has stayed the same.

He later contributed to contract projects for local businesses and technology companies. His contract work included setting up networks, computers, and phone systems for a new mental health facility campus, and replacing computers in Department of Defense secondary schools at Fort Benning, Georgia.

That practical background informs Suncoast MIS’s approach: understand the workflow, identify the actual risk, document the architecture, and recommend a practical order of operations.
